GERINA Program

Gerakan Indonesia Menanam (GERINA) is more than a call to engage in agriculture; it is a concrete movement dedicated to planting, cultivating, and harvesting food crops and cereals through the active participation of communities across various provinces in Indonesia. Through this collective involvement, GERINA positions itself as one of the key foundations in supporting the realization of the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision. GERINA was established as an inspiring movement that fosters collective awareness of the importance of food security. Beyond mobilizing communities, GERINA provides comprehensive information and guidance for planting partners, covering every stage from cultivation, crop care, to harvesting. This information is designed to be accessible, practical, and aligned with real conditions in the field.

GERINA’s Strategic Role

In its implementation, GERINA plays a strategic role as a movement hub, information center, and research and development center for innovation in the food sector.

One of GERINA’s concrete initiatives is the establishment of pilot agricultural sites that serve as demonstration and testing areas for sustainable food cultivation practices. GERINA also provides direct assistance to farmers by working alongside them throughout the planting and harvesting processes while strengthening collaboration with local farming communities in cultivation areas.

Beyond these efforts, GERINA has established coordination networks across 38 provinces in Indonesia, creating an interconnected ecosystem that supports collective action and knowledge sharing. To ensure long-term sustainability, GERINA operates a dedicated research and development team that continuously works to strengthen various aspects of national food security.

GERINA has developed structured and long-term objectives. In the short term, the movement aims to encourage active community participation across all provinces in Indonesia. In the medium term, GERINA is committed to supporting the achievement of national food self-sufficiency by 2029, particularly in strategic food crop sectors. In the long term, GERINA seeks to contribute to the realization of Golden Indonesia 2045 through strong, independent, and sustainable food security.

More than just a program, GERINA represents hope, collaboration, and innovation—a movement that unites knowledge, real action, and national spirit to build a future where Indonesia achieves food sovereignty and resilience.
